Grow Associates is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with developmental disabilities reach their full potential, to live lives enhanced by knowledge, by friendship, and by work. All our programs are designed to help integrate individuals into the broader community – as employees, as volunteers, and as members of the community.
Grow Associates Executive Director, Scott Pralinsky, and the Director of Development and Marketing, Jill Tompkins will be our hosts.
Grow Associates has purchased its building and is expanding into 25,000 additional square feet that will include community meeting/event space. Come see the space and plans!
Scott has a lifetime of experience working with those unable to advocate for themselves. He began his career in Boston as a streetworker, developed a mentoring program at Rikers Island for young inmates, and worked as a Chaplain in a prison hospital in Massachusetts. After 13 years in the Air Force he found himself in Costa Rica for 15 years, where he founded a nonprofit called Casa Milagro Foundation to support people, wildlife and the environment countrywide. This holistic approach included working with underage homeless sex trafficking victims.
A graduate of UMass Amherst and the University of Santa Monica, Scott also attended the National Leadership Institute on Developmental Disabilities through the University of Delaware, and received a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership & Management from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management.
Scott loves spending time with family, traveling and volunteering. He’s a member of the Braintree Rotary Club, speaks both English and Spanish, and is a dual citizen of the US and Costa Rica.
As the Director of Development and Marketing, Jill’s priorities are to further advance GROW’s visibility and impact. 2023, GROW’s 50th Anniversary, will be a great year to celebrate GROW and the people we serve!
With over 15 years of fundraising experience, and several multi-million-dollar capital campaigns completed, Jill will drive the effort to broaden GROW’s donor base in support of expanding our services in the 50,000 sq. ft. facility we now own. Jill’s fundraising career, which includes annual appeals, capital campaigns, grants and events, has largely centered on the South Shore, as Director of Development – Capital at South Coast YMCA, Institutional Giving Manager at Plimoth-Patuxet Museums, Director of Development at Talking Information Center and as Sr. Development Officer at South Shore Habitat for Humanity. Jill earned a Certification in Professional Fundraising from Boston University.
A Falmouth resident, Jill dabbles in the visual arts, walks the family dog daily, enjoys cross-country skiing. She loves most of all, time with her adult daughter and son who both live in the Philadelphia area. And she is happily married to Jack.
